Possibly the hardest part about being ignored by people you value, is the matter of identity.

If you subconsciously define yourself by the perception of particular persons in your life, what happens when they no longer appreciate you? How do you reshape your identity when you’ve always measured you by the way these particular people value you?

This isn’t about learning to not care what they think: it’s about redefining where you believe your value originates.

God, the One who sees me, my head believes You, but my heart lags behind. Teach me to see my value in the cross.

  1. I love your writing. This, this is me, a price of my life struggle and brokenness that is forever being taken back to the cross.

    • Thanks, Tamarah. I’m so grateful that He’s already approved us and that we can always go back to the cross.
